Stellarton
Albion Trail
The Albion Trail extends the well-known Samson trail from the Duff Cemetery all the way to Bridge Ave in Stellarton.

Trenton
Trenton Park
This location has been developed into one of Nova Scotia's finest parks, offering six kilometers of walking/hiking trails winding their way through 565 acres of century-old coniferous trees. A 2 kilometre mountain bike trail is also on site! Park visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk on prepared trails, stopping to feed the ducks along the shores of man-made ponds. Lucky visitors may even catch a glimpse of other natural wildlife that call the park home! The more adventurous will try their hand at fishing trout from the stocked ponds.

Smelt Brook Trail
Phase 1 of the Smelt Brook Trail and its 3 bridges is a nice little trail hidden away in the Town of Trenton. Starting just across the oad from the Tim Horton's in Trenton, this beautiful little trail weaves its way along the Smelt Brook.

Westville
Acadia Park
One of the finest examples of reclaiming a former mining site is Acadia Park. One could not find a more beautiful park with its walking trails, children's playground and Miner's Memorial. The park offers an excellent place for visitors to the Town to come and picnic, relax, listen to music or walk on the trails and reflect upon nature.

Pictou
Jitney Trail
Take a walk along the Jitney Walking Trail along the waterfront in Pictou. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy a three kilometre trail to the site where the ship Hector made its historic landing in 1773. Park benches are available, allowing you to take in the panoramic views. Along the way you can learn about Pictou through interpretive panels and views of the site the Hector settlers landing. The Jitney Trail connects directly to the Trans Canada Trail System for more avid hikers.

County of Pictou
Short Line Trail
Located at Brown's Point to Scotsburn, this 12.7 km recreational trail is made of compacted surface suitable for cycling, walking, running, snowmobiling, skiing and ATV's. Accessible from Brown's Point, Blackie Road in Lyons Brook off Route 376 and Scotsburn, behind fire hall.

Take the Trans Canada Trail all the way from Stellarton to Oxford.

Munroes Island Trail
Located at Caribou-Munroes Island Provincial Park, Munroes Island Trail is a 10 km return hike up one side of the island, around its tip, then back down the same trail. The walk along the island accesses sandy beaches, rocky shoreline, tidal salt marshes, and is an ideal spot to view shore birds.

Fitzpatrick Mountain Trails
Located at Scotsburn the main 8 km trail goes to millsville and is a challenging narrow woodland hiking trail that has steep sections. Sturdy footwear recommended. Suitable for hiking, skilled mountain bikers, and trail runners. Accessible at Scotsburn behind recreation grounds at route 256, and from Millsville, less than one-half km along Elmfield Rd. from the Herman Church Cairn at the intersection of Millsville and Elmfield Roads.
Along with the main trail, there is now a growing network of other narrow woodland trails traversing Fitzpatrick Mountain.

Located in the East River Valley, this park is home to the Hopewell Nature Trails and Footbridges.
