Helmets are highly recommended for all users, even experienced skaters, at arenas in Pictou County. For everyone's safety and enjoyment there are no sticks, pucks, or racing allowed during public skating. Please be courteous and respectful towards your fellow skaters and most importantly...have fun!

Active Pictou County Free Skates*

Thanks to financial support through the Province of Nova Scotia's Thrive Strategy, Active Pictou County is making it easier to be ACTIVE this winter. Below are the FREE public skating times being offered from November 2016 to March 2017.


Trenton Minor Sports Community Centre
5:30 to 6:20 pm
Westville Miner’s Sports Centre
6:30 to 7:20 pm
Stellarton Memorial Rink
7:00 to 8:00 pm
Ivor MacDonald Memorial Rink (Thorburn)
7:00 to 8:00 pm
Pictou County Wellness Centre
7:45 to 9:15 pm
Hector Arena (Pictou)
11:30 am to 12:30 pm
*There are special occasions when a skate may be cancelled due to a previously booked event 
and we will do our best to inform the public of those schedule changes.
